Fox's Market House Restaurant

Meet General Manager Billy

Billy Honetor recently assumed the role of General Manager at Fox’s Restaurant. Billy resides in the area with his husband Caleb, and their 15-year-old Yorkie named Bella. He replaced Morgan Caprio as the GM and will supervise a staff of twenty with the same mission: “Your Complete Satisfaction is Our Main Objective.”

Billy studied under Chef Matt Clark with decades of culinary experience beginning at the Clinton County Country Club. Matt insists on the freshest local ingredients served in a cozy atmosphere that’s perfect for special occasions or a relaxed night out.

Nine years ago, Billy started as a dishwasher at Fox’s and soon realized his passion for cooking and the hospitality business. He is intimately familiar with the operation to assure guests they will be completely satisfied.

On Thursday, August 20th, at 5:00, Billy invites you to a “Great Gatsby Gathering.” When constructed in 1871, Fox’s was known as the “Gathering Place” and the building is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Thursday “Gathering” is to celebrate the roaring twenties and prohibition theme you’ll find in the restaurant. After touring the new back addition, where you’ll find a new walk-in freezer and cooler, there’s something in the basement Billy can get you in! Few know about what’s underground at Fox’s!

You’ll find a 160-foot center corridor with a brick arched ceiling partitioned on either side with 22 arched rooms. Years ago, food and grain was hoisted through floor openings into waiting horse-pulled wagons.

Steve Poorman commissioned photographer Franka Calabrese to light the vaults with candles for a time-release photograph for those who don’t wish to make the unground trip.

During the Gathering, you’ll find unique gifts, prizes, free foods, and live entertainment featuring roaring twenties music!

Stop and see Billy, the facility, taste the foods and ask him to show you the old vaults. Much like the tunnel under Main Street, they’re just another piece of Lock Haven’s unique history.

Just look for the 1929 antique Olds in the parking lot, step into history, meet Billy and enjoy the evening. The Tommy Gun held by the gangster in the back seat isn’t real!
